🌼 A Special Book Launch at the Mariposa Butterfly Festival 🌼

Celebrate the magic of monarchs with a heartwarming tea party and the official launch of Mari the Monarch: The Legacy of Wings by local author Kimberly Vaughan!

Join us in the Butterfly Pavilion at the Mariposa Butterfly Festival for a special reading of this beautifully illustrated new book, where Mari—guided by the whispers of her great-grandmother—takes flight on a journey from the coast to the hills of Mariposa. Along the way, she learns the power of legacy, the importance of milkweed, and the role we all play in protecting butterflies.

Children will enjoy a gentle tea (juice) service, butterfly-themed treats, and a visit with Mari herself. Each child will receive a “Guardian of the Grove” certificate, participate in butterfly-friendly crafts, and be invited to imagine themselves as part of Mari’s world.

Step into an enchanted grove where butterflies flutter, flowers giggle, and magic fills the air! Join Miranda the Forest Fairy for a delightful tea party nestled inside the whimsical Fairy Village at the Mariposa Butterfly Festival.

Children will sip tea (fairy-approved apple juice), nibble sweet treats, and hear the enchanting story of Miranda & Yose: Guardians of the Grove read aloud by the fairy herself. Every young guest will receive a pair of fairy wings and a magical “Guardian of the Grove” certificate, officially welcoming them into Miranda’s circle of forest protectors.

This heartwarming, interactive experience invites children to imagine, believe, and learn how even the smallest actions—like picking up litter—can help protect our natural world.
